text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #212529;\">Through the years,\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">Mirta Fedespina<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">Antonio Farina<\/span><\/strong>, owners of the farm and wine-lovers themselves, together with wine maker\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">Francesco Petacco<\/span><\/strong>, who enthusiastically, and like-mindedly, providing his precious advice as to the entire production cycle, wish to prove that Alta Lunigiana, a land rich and generous in nature and typical local products, has all the credentials required to produce\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">quality and identity wines<\/span><\/strong>, in the best Tuscan tradition, safeguarding only the characteristics of the territory, without conforming to wines produced in other regions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0cm; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #212529;\">In\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">2003<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0was born the idea to renovate the historic vineyard , towards the idea of \u200b\u200bsustainability and <strong>biodiversity<\/strong>: pushing the vineyards to the borders of the\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">woods<\/span><\/strong>, to seek a profound expression of the soil in its <strong>geological<\/strong> diversity and get closer to the vegetal density of the chestnut trees and centuries-old oaks to seek strong temperature variations, root textures and achieve a\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">slow maturation<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of the grapes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0cm; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #212529;\">They therefore decided to work with a\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">blend<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0of local and international varieties, to best express the\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">Genius Loci<\/span><\/em>\u00a0of the Lunigiana area:\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">Ciliegiolo<\/span><\/strong>, a black grape variety native to the area and\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">Merlot,<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0present in upper Lunigiana for centuries thanks to the passage of numerous pilgrims along the Via Francigena.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0cm; text-align: center; background: white; box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 1rem; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #212529;\">In 2014, with the arrival in the company of the son\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">Matteo<\/span><\/strong>, an architect by training and winemaker by vocation, the research was directed towards the recovery of\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">ancient vineyards.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0The development therefore continues with the acquisition of a fifty-year-old vineyard located at an altitude of 300 meters right on the slopes of the Tuscan Apennines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0cm; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #212529;\">Podere Fedespina took care of the recovery of the ancient vineyard, creating a\u00a0<strong style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue';\">limited series<\/span><\/strong> of bottles of Pinot Noir which since 2015 has accompanied the two historic wines.
